Now that winter is here in Norway, it´s good to have a warm and cosy home. By bringing nature and knitting into our homes, we bring cosiness right away...

I´m now knitting a pillow cover for our new apartment and I´m almost done. I will show you a picture of it when it´s done.

{ Tips: A Christmas silverplate }

I use my silver plate all year around for table decorations, just changing the look of it every now and then. And even though I know it's not December yet, I just couldn't wait any longer! I had to make a Christmas theme on my silver plate, and I think it's so nice to finally get some Christmas decorations in our apartment.

 As you can see in the background, I have also decorated my ladder with a light garland and an artificial spruce-garland.

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? 

 Thanksgiving was great by the way. I´ll show you some pictures during the weekend.

{ My wishlist from Hviit }

{ DIY: Ice candle }

My creative mom made this beautiful ice candle with tulips. I think it's so lovely and I want to share the idea with you.

This is how you can make your own:

 1. Fill up a big bucket with cold water.

2. Put flowers, pine cones, twigs etc. in the bucket

3. Then but a smaller bucket inside the other bucket to make a hole for the candle.

4. Put something heavy on the top, or use tape to hold the little bucket down.

5. Freeze the water outside or in your freezer.

 6. When it is ready, remove the buckets and put a candle in the hole.

This can also be a great way to serve seafood in if you are going to impress your guest - try different shapes for different purposes.

A perfect way to welcome your guest, don't you think?
