{ Oi Soi Oi }

Have you ever heard of the Danish company Oi Soi Oi? They are designing and producing interior designs, furniture, clothes and accessories and they are all made by hand in carefully selected workshops in Vietnam. For me it was love at first sight when I saw their newest collection...

"In our universe we aim to combine Scandinavian design simplicity with the rich craft heritage of Asia. Personal style is what inspires us. We use colours, materials and designs in a way that we hope delights and inspires our customers." - Oi Soi Oi

You can view their entire collection on their homepage, if you like what you see.

Have you heard of this brand before? Do you like what you see?

{ Inspired by the ocean and a flowering garden }

When I wrote about pillows yesterday, the girl behind the blog "Høytrykk" mentioned the brand Ceannis in her comment, and I had to check out what she was talking about.
On their homepage I discovered this beautiful catalogue of their spring/summer collection, and I fall in love with their delightful summery pictures, so I want to share some of them here with you...

I´m so glad that we are heading towards spring and summer - I can´t wait!

{ 1-2-3 to easy reupholstery }

I wanted to change the look on our stool to something that gave more contrast, so I bought this striped black and white fabric on Ikea and reupholstered it.
Here is the before & after...

I also made a pillow in the same fabric as the new stool.

What do you think of the stool and the matching pillow?
Do you ever do your own upholstery?

Enjoy your day!

What do you think of their newest collection? Is this something you could bring into your home?
I would love to have some of those pillows - they are so lovely!

We have lots of plans throughout the week - I'm so EXITED!

{ Ikea pillow with a twist }

Hello friends! How did the weekend treat you? Mine was great, including the Jack Johnson concert on Friday! He is truly amazing and so is the Hollywood Bowl.

Do you remember when I painted "HOME SWEET HOME" on an Ikea pillow? Well, I'm still very happy with that one, but I thought I could do something on the other side of the pillow as well. This way I can just turn the pillow when I want something different....

Meet my new pillow: "Number 5":

You can see how I made the pillow here.
Why the number 5? No reason at all... *smile*
So which one do you think is nicest? "HOME SWEET HOME" or "5"?

Wish you a great start of the week!

{ Ferm Living }

The blog "Hviit" is writing about a calendar today from Ferm Living and
asks us whether or not they should take it into their store. I say, YES!
They also ask if we could tell them about our favorites from Ferm Living, so
I made this collage with MY favorites.

Do you have any favorites? You can find their website here.

I had a post about some of their wallstickers last month that you can see here.

{ DIY: Pimping up an Ikea pillow }

 Hello everyone! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed whatever you were doing. LA wasn't as sunny as I was hoping for, so I've been doing some creative things in our apartment instead.

I have seen that many of you have these cute pillows with letters and phrases on them, and I wanted to have something similar. So I went over to Ikea and bought a white linen pillow, and I pimped it up with "Home sweet home" and a cute little star.

I already had letter stencils, so I painted the words that I wanted with acrylic paint ( You take what you have, right? * smile* I'm sure there are better options when it comes to paint... )
I started with the word in the middle, because I wanted it to end up centred. I also put some paper underneath so the paint didn't go through to the other side of the pillow.

Have you made any pillows like this, or do you prefer to buy them?

I wish you all a great new week!

{ The hottest fall trend? }

Have you made any pillows of your jeans yet? Your old jeans can now be your hottest pillow! Yes, they say that jeans will be the hottest interior trend this fall...

The fall trend is all about toning everything down to the pure and honest. Glossy materials and brand hysteria goes away (!), and the focus will be on rough surfaces, re-use and handicrafts. But let's start with the good old jeans!

So what do to think of this trend? Are you going to use jeans textile in your home this fall?
Who knows, maybe I decide to use some of my old jeans for a pillow...

I don't know about you, but I prefer to have it more cosy interior wise in the wintertime, and these looks cosy to me...
