{ H&M HOME - new store! }

It´s an exciting day here in Oslo, Norway today! H&M opens the country's first and the worlds 6th "H&M Home store"! For the first time in Norway we can buy interior products from H&M Home in store - Oh joy!

Their concept is quite different compared to other shops. All the items are like little magnets and with a small magnetic board you can put together your "shopping cart". The board will get scanned at the register, and you retrieve the goods there after you have paid.

These products are just a little peek of what they actually have in their home collection. You can view more on their homepage.

I´m unfortunately too busy to visit their new store this week, but I will go there next week for sure! Maybe I can take some photo´s for you as well.

Have you ever been to a H&M Home store before?

I´m overwhelmed by all the nice feedback I got on my DIY headbord/Bedroom yesterday! I´ll take your advise and not paint the pallets, and keep them as they are *smile*

{ DIY: Headboard! }

When I showed you the pallet ideas yesterday, I also promised you that I would show you what I have used my pallets for. So without further introduction - meet our new headboard!

I´m actually quite pleased with the result, but I´m not sure if I should paint them or not. What do you think? I´m thinking either black or white. I kind of like this natural color as well....

{ A sweet place }

Let´s have a tour in this charming apartment in Sweden. Usually I like the style to be a little bit rougher, but when I see  cosy and charming homes like this I just have to look...

Wooden floors and walls make it cosy right away.  

Notice the curtain - looks easy to make, right?

 This dining corner is adorable! You can´t go wrong with white, pastel green and lots of pillows.

 

A mix of modern and old gives character to a room - this is a good example.

Pay attention to the red color out in the hallway - how bold! The old window into the kitchen is also a very cute detail.

Simple, but a very cute bedroom. I like the clean look of it.

{ A touch of pink }

What color do you decorate with now that you have removed your Christmas decorations?

I find it hard to choose which colors I want in the living room, and I usually go with a white and grey base, as it makes it easier for me to add some color.

I saw these pictures over at Stadshem, and liked the idea of using pink and purple together like this. I´m not sure my fiancé likes it as much as me though *smile*

Cute, right?

 See how only a touch of pink softens the hard contrast between black and white.

Do you think you will let pink into your home this winter/spring?

I think I might do - if I can persuade my second half  *smile*

{ A small apartment with character }

Look at this stylish apartment! It´s not very big, but the space is very well used and every corner have lots of character...

 The kitchen island made of bricks gives the whole room a lift, don´t you think?
This island makes a great centrepiece!

Looks easy to build yourself too :)

The little "built-in" bedroom speaks for itself - great idea!

This is such an adorable living room. Simple - yet lots of details to love.

The bathroom really fits the rest of the apartment, with its clean and modern look.

{ Black & white beauty }

In the Swedish interior magazine "Skona Hem" this month they show us the fancy home of Annaleena who's authoring the blog "Hem". I've been following her blog for a while, and I really like Annaleena's rough and clean style, and she has some great creative ideas when it comes to home decoration.
This is the pictures they showed in Skona Hem, but you can see more on her own blog here.

I love the contrast between the black an the white in this house, and the fact that everything is light, airy and mostly high ceilings.They have decorated the house after the less-is-more principle, which means; they only have things that they actually use. It's probably much easier to keep it clutter-free this way *smile*

Annaleena is also an amazing photographer so I recommend you to take a look at her lovely blog - everything she posts is so beautiful!
