{ Spring flowers - how can we use them? }

Today I´d like to show you some ideas on how you can bring spring into your home simply by adding flowers. I don´t know about you, but flowers make me happier and spring flowers are full of joy with their lovely colors.

A nice idea is to put some miniature Primula in your favorite cups like in the picture above.
Or you can add flowers to your table setting, and do something similar as showed in the pictures underneath.

Fresh colors like these create good energy in the room!

Lots of spring bulbs in a wooden crate make a great result. Maybe you can grow them yourself?

Do you have a favorite spring flower? Do you have them in cups, vases, pots, crates, baskets....? Maybe you want to show me, by uploading some photos on Stylizimo.com? I would love to get some more ideas *smile*

Have a wonderful weekend, darlings!

{ H&M HOME - new store! }

It´s an exciting day here in Oslo, Norway today! H&M opens the country's first and the worlds 6th "H&M Home store"! For the first time in Norway we can buy interior products from H&M Home in store - Oh joy!

Their concept is quite different compared to other shops. All the items are like little magnets and with a small magnetic board you can put together your "shopping cart". The board will get scanned at the register, and you retrieve the goods there after you have paid.

These products are just a little peek of what they actually have in their home collection. You can view more on their homepage.

I´m unfortunately too busy to visit their new store this week, but I will go there next week for sure! Maybe I can take some photo´s for you as well.

Have you ever been to a H&M Home store before?

I´m overwhelmed by all the nice feedback I got on my DIY headbord/Bedroom yesterday! I´ll take your advise and not paint the pallets, and keep them as they are *smile*

Thank you all!

xoxo, Nina

Take a look at this house in Provence in south of France. I like the earth to ground colour scheme with the greige on both floor and walls, and also how they have mixed rough wooden furniture with a more modern neat style. It works really great and it looks calm and harmonic. Take a look at Living like Lindas post today, these walls in a more modern and scandinavian house.

{ DIY: Headboard! }

When I showed you the pallet ideas yesterday, I also promised you that I would show you what I have used my pallets for. So without further introduction - meet our new headboard!

I´m actually quite pleased with the result, but I´m not sure if I should paint them or not. What do you think? I´m thinking either black or white. I kind of like this natural color as well....

So what do you think? You can see more photos of our bedroom on Stylizimo.com.
Wish you all a wonderful day! Here in Oslo it's snowing A LOT at the moment, so it seems that we have to wait a bit longer for spring.

{ DIY: Pallets }

Today I want to share these cool Euro pallet ideas from Stylizimo´s members. It´s amazing how many ways one can actually use a pallet as a furniture...

Cool, right? I actually have Euro pallets in my apartment as well, but I´ve used them for something else. I´ll tell you more about it later *smile*

Thank you Noe på Hjertet, Siljesol and Fjasevashuset for sharing these cool DIY ideas! They are very inspiring.
If any of you readers have DIY projects that you want to share, you are welcome to upload pictures on Stylizimo.com

Can a bedroom be better than this?

After so many rooms with black and white lately I find this soft beige and brown asian interior very refreshing. Its from the swedish photographer Roland Persson. The ornamental headboard and the lantern matches the wall perfect, and the lamp... doesn't the Bestlite looks good everywere!

Lotta Agaton flyttar

The swedish stylist and blogger Lotta Agaton is now moving from her flat in central Stockholm. Her home have been shown many times in magazines, commercials and even here on this blog. Take a look at her nice flat with her so characteristic styling. You can find more images here.

{ Our living room }

I promised you that I would show you some more pictures of our living room, and now that everything is in its place I have snapped some pictures...

As you can see it´s not very colorful but from time to time I add colors using colorful flowers. The magazines on the ladder are also bringing some color into our living room.

I hope you like my new living room, and that it gave you some inspiration. I have taken some more pictures, and I will be adding them on Stylizimo.

I´ve also seen that a lot of you have joined as members on Stylizimo.com, and that makes me really happy! I hope you all will enjoy the community and that we can inspire each other. I love looking at the albums that you upload.

If you´re not a member of the Stylizimo community yet, you can sign up for FREE here (You can choose between English or Norwegian language up in the right corner). Everyone is welcome, and it´s optional if you want to upload photos or not.

Sängen mitt i vardagsrummet

Isn't this a fun idea with a day bed in the living room. Great for relaxing or just hang out. In case you have the space. Notice the mix of lamps and mix of chairs in the background. Works great as long as you stick with white.

{ Enjoying the weekend }

Hello you, and hello Sunday! The sun is shining and it seems like it´s going to be a wonderful day here in Oslo today! Our weekend is all about the World Cup event (which is in Oslo now), enjoying the great weather and eating freshly baked cinnamon rolls. I also got some new interior magazines that I´m enjoying - the weekend couldn´t be more perfect!

I also made these cappuccinos with hearts on. To make the hearts I made a stencil out of paper and sprinkled the cinnamon over the cappuccino. It's always nice to do the little extra.
Unfortunately I don´t have the right cappuccino cups yet, but it tasted delicious anyway *smile*

I hope you are enjoying your weekend as well. Happy Sunday!

Tjoho, bara mars kvar?

Come one Spring! I can't take it anymore, I want spring and I want it now. This country is too cold to live in and the winter is so long. How could anyone ever have thought it suitable for people. Please let it be spring soon!

A Little R & R

The kids are on vacation so we will be busy having some family time.

I will back soon with an “Artist Spotlight” – But here is quick sneak peek of the painting I just picked up in NYC this weekend!

I’ll keep you guessing who the artist is until I return! Have a great week!!

{ KitchenAid love }

A few days ago I got the KitchenAid Mixer that I actually got for Christmas. I told my fiancé that he should wait buying it until it was on sale. So yesterday I had to bake some chocolate cupcakes and celebrate that it´s finally here. Oh joy!

If somebody in Norway wonders where you can buy it for a more affordable price, you can check out Komplett.no

Hopefully I'll have time to bake more this weekend. It's much more fun now that I have equipment.

Wish you all a happy weekend! Have FUN *smile*

Hem & Villa mässan i Malmö

Exhibition again, now from my hometown Malmö. Its a small exhibition with focus on home and garden. I was mostly in for the garden show cases even if I liked IKEAs most. This is how it all looked!
