{ 10 posters to love! }

You know I love posters, and today I´m sharing 10 of my favorite prints from Therese Sennerholt´s webshop.

Oh, I just love them all! Do you have any favorites among these?

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, sweet people!
I´m going to the christening of a sweet little princess today. She´s the baby of one of my best friends, and she is such a cutie.

{ DIY: Chalkboard }

Oh, hello Friday! My favorite day of the hole week is finally here!

I promised you the other day that I would show you my latest DIY project, and here it is! I simply painted over an old painting with chalkboard paint and I painted the frame white (I promise you that the painting wasn´t worth anything. You can see a before picture of it here if you like.)
 The text "home sweet home" is made in Photoshop, and not written my me unfortunately. *smile*
Chalkboard paint is so much fun! You should try it if you haven´t.
If you missed the last one I made, you can see it here.

Have a good weekend everyone! Use it well.

{ DIY: Wooden letter }

This has to be the easiest DIY project I´ve ever done, but still a good "money saving" project.
I had some wooden plank leftovers after the shelf that I recently made, so I simply glued two of the planks together with super glue and made the letter L, and then I painted it with chalkboard paint so I can decorate it or write on it as well.
Imagine a huge letter in the hallway with messages etc. - that would be awesome. Hmmm... maybe next time. *smile*

All I have to do now is to find a place to put it...

Other letter that should be easy to make with planks are: A, E, F, H, I, K, M, T, V, X, Y and Z

Thank you all for your warm compliments on my living room yesterday! Your comments are always a pleasure to read.

{ Wise words in a frame }

I saw these wise words over at the lovely blog pilli pilli a while ago, and I saved them in a file. I have now made a picture that we have placed in our living room, so we always can remind ourselves to find the time...

Thank you all for your sweet comments on my new dresser and the shelf that I´ve made - you are all sweethearts!

I wish you all a wonderful day! I hope you have sunshine too.

{ 5 ideas for the wall }

Empty white walls can sometimes seem difficult to decorate. What can we possibly fill our walls with except for paintings and prints? Since I´m moving into a new apartment now, I have given this some thought and found 5 ideas that I hope you find useful...
I can feel that I am both excited and dreaded to move into a new apartment. Moving into an empty and white apartment often makes it difficult to imagine how it can be. The thing is that I´ve only seen pictures of the apartment on the Internet, and I have no idea how everything looks. I find it very difficult to plan in advance, because I have no feeling of how the rooms are size-wise and wide-angle camera only get me confused.
Anyway, it will be fun to bring you along when I decorate our new home. Hopefully, we will get our furniture that are shipped on a boat in time for our moving on Thursday. Otherwise it will be very empty in the beginning *smile*

{ DIY: Christmas gift idea #2 }

So how is it going with the Christmas presents? Have you started yet? I thought I would give you a new idea on a gift you can make yourself. If you have scrabble tiles, a frame and some stamps you can easily make something like this.

If you don't have stamps and scrabble tiles, you can write a nice quote on your computer in a pretty font.

You can see my first Christmas gift idea here.

Wish you a lovely weekend! Any plans?

{ 10 poster ideas }

Yesterday I mentioned that posters are a very hot trend these days, so today I would like to give you some ideas on some cool posters that are out there..
Bathtime and Breakfast in Bed

Do you see any you like?
I like them all, but the first four are my favorites.
( Every poster are linked to the page you can buy it btw. )

If you have some skills on for example Photoshop, you can easily make something similar yourself. Use your imaginations.

{ DIY: Making pictures }

Nowadays it's very popular to have pictures with quotes or words. I love this trend so I've made myself this picture with a quote that I like very much...

 Have you made any pictures yourself? Do you like using quotes and words?

You can see other pictures I've made here and here.

Happy weekend!

{ Decorating walls }

I find it kind of hard to decorate walls sometimes because I like to change the look very often, and I don't want to make a lot of holes in the wall. Therefore I've fallen for these shelves where you can put different decorations, and when you get tired of the look you easily can replace the items with something else.
This is how the shelves in our living room looks like right now
Magazines can be very decorative as well. I've stacked some of our magazines under the shelves beside a basket with a pillow. Now the wall went from empty to way more decorative.
We have these kind of shelves both over our bed and in my home office. You can see how I decorated them here and here.

How do you decorate your walls? Do you often use shelves as well?

{ Make your own paintings }

Painting has been a hobby of mine many years now, and I really enjoy doing it. I also like the fact that I'm saving a lot of money by painting my own paintings, and I get it exactly how I want it and in the colors that I want. It really isn't that difficult as some of you might think. You should give it a try!
 This one is one of my latest paintings, and it fits very well into my living room right now. Usually I paint on larger canvas though,  and you can see some of my other paintings here.

WHAT YOU NEED TO GET STARTED:

1. Acrylic paint: This paint is cheap, dries fast and are easy to work with.
2. Canvas: choose the size that you want. Start with the cheaper ones.
3. Easel: Not a must. In the beginning I used the floor or the table for smaller canvases.
4. Different brush sizes, sponges, stencils or whatever you can use to make a pattern or an effect. It's only the creativity that stops you!

The good part is: If you're not happy with the result, you can just paint over it again.

Do you have any self made paintings in your home? Or maybe you want to make one this weekend? :)
Anyway, I wish you a lovely weekend whatever you are doing.

{ Ferm Living }

The blog "Hviit" is writing about a calendar today from Ferm Living and
asks us whether or not they should take it into their store. I say, YES!
They also ask if we could tell them about our favorites from Ferm Living, so
I made this collage with MY favorites.

Do you have any favorites? You can find their website here.

I had a post about some of their wallstickers last month that you can see here.
